Getting started

What is PopLink?+
PopLink is a creator monetization platform. You get one branded link (poplink.app/yourname) where fans can send you tips, back your creative projects, or pay you to complete a challenge. PopLink takes 5% per transaction, no monthly fee.
How long does it take to set up?+
About 5 minutes. Sign up with Google, choose your handle, fill in a short profile, and activate payouts (a quick bank account verification, about 2-3 minutes — you'll need your ID and bank account).
Who can sign up?+
Any creator 18+ in a supported country (45+ countries including US, EU, UK, Canada, Australia). You need a bank account to receive payouts.
Do fans need to create an account?+
No. Fans tip, pledge, or send challenges as guests. They just need an email for the receipt.

Payments and payouts

When do I get paid?+
Payouts go to your bank every 2 days by default (configurable to weekly or monthly in your payout settings). First payout takes 7 days to clear (anti-fraud delay).
What are the fees?+
PopLink takes 5% of each successful transaction. A payment processing fee also applies (~2.9% + $0.30 in the US, varies by country). Both are shown clearly before each transaction. See our pricing page.
Which currencies are supported?+
USD, EUR, and GBP at launch. Your earnings are in your account's settlement currency. Fans can pay in any major card currency — conversion is handled automatically.
Can I issue refunds?+
Yes. Go to Payments in your Creator Studio, find the transaction, and click Refund. Both the platform fee and processing fee are refunded with the payment.

Workflows

What's the difference between tips, project funding, and challenges?+
Tips are one-off thanks (any amount).
Project funding is a goal-based campaign (like Kickstarter) where fans pledge toward a target.
Challenges are paid commissions, fans pay a fixed price to ask you to make/do something.
Can I disable a workflow?+
Yes, set its status to Draft in the workflow settings. It will disappear from your public page.
Can I customize the amounts shown for tips?+
Yes. Set 3 preset amounts and enable/disable custom amounts in the Tips workflow settings.

Account and safety

How is my data protected?+
Your data is hosted on Supabase (SOC 2 Type II compliant) in EU/US regions. Payments are processed by a PCI Level 1 certified provider. We never see or store your full card number. See our Privacy Policy.
What if a fan files a chargeback?+
You'll be notified by email and in your Payments dashboard. You can submit evidence directly through our app. Dispute resolution typically takes 60-90 days.
Can I delete my account?+
Yes. Email privacy@poplink.app. We'll anonymize your profile within 30 days while keeping payment records for accounting compliance (US LLC requires 7 years of retention).
What content is not allowed?+
See our Acceptable Use Policy. In short: nothing illegal, adult, hateful, fraudulent, or that violates our payment processor's acceptable use policy.
