This privacy policy explains how PopLink ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit our website and join our waitlist. We comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable data protection laws.

1. Who we are

2. What data we collect

We only collect what's necessary to operate the waitlist and the eventual product:

Email address: when you submit the waitlist form.
Submission timestamp: to manage cohort prioritization.
Submission source: to know which form on the page you used.
Anonymous analytics: pageviews and page paths via Plausible Analytics (no cookies, no personal identifiers, no cross-site tracking). See "Analytics" below.

We do not collect IP addresses, names, payment data, or any other personal information at this stage.

3. Why we use it

To notify you when private beta access opens for your creator vertical.
To send you product updates (1–2 emails per month maximum) until launch.
To prioritize your access if you fit our early-cohort profile (streamer, artist, musician, designer).

4. Legal basis

We process your data on the basis of your explicit consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), given when you tick the consent checkbox on the waitlist form.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your email until either:

You unsubscribe (every email contains an unsubscribe link).
You request deletion (see "Your rights" below).
The waitlist is closed and migrated to active accounts, in which case email retention follows the active account terms.

6. Who has access

Your data is only visible to:

The PopLink team.
Our email service provider, currently [Formspree / Tally / Buttondown / ConvertKit: choose one], which is GDPR-compliant.

We never sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

7. Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-first analytics service that does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track users across websites. Plausible is GDPR-compliant by default and complies with PECR and CCPA.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other cross-site tracking.

8. Your rights (GDPR)

Under GDPR you have the right to:

Access your personal data we hold.
Correct any inaccurate data.
Delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
Restrict processing.
Data portability: receive your data in a machine-readable format.
Withdraw consent at any time.
Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority (in France: CNIL).

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@poplink.app. We respond within 30 days.

9. Security

Your data is stored on encrypted servers hosted in the EU by our email provider. We use HTTPS for all data transmission. We do our best to follow industry standards but no system is 100% secure.

10. Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we'll notify you via email at least 14 days before changes take effect, and update the "Last updated" date above.
